About Us
Platinum Collision & Autobody is a full service collision repair business that has evolved from the partnership of two brothers, beginning in 1982 in their backyard garage. The business moved to it's present location in Lake VIlla, IL in 1984. The business has grown to an award winning State of the Art facility with three locations.
We invite you to tour our facilities when you stop in. Platinum Collision in Lake Villa has over 48,000 square feet of production workspace on the ground floor and additional storage, administration and training space on the second floor covering 25,000 square feet. We have over 40 I-Car, ATEG & ASE trained technicians working to provide the highest quality repairs available in the area. The Lake Villa Shop is located on Highway 45, and is close to Gurnee, Lake Villa & Grayslake. They are located on Hwy 45 between Grand Avenue to the North and Washington Street to the South.
Our Libertyville location opened in 2005 and is the preferred repairer for many of the car dealers on "dealers row" on Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville. With approximately 8,000 square feet of workspace and a large office area for customers and a convenient drive-in estimating bay. The Libertyville shop has easy access to I-94 and all the neighboring communities and businesses, like Abbott and the Great Lakes Naval Base.
Platinum Autobody of Volo opened in the fall of 2006 and is located on the rapidly growing Route 12 corridor between Wauconda, IL and Fox Lake, IL. This beautiful brand new building houses a 12,000 square foot collision repair shop, along with 12,000 square footage of lease space, all of which back up to forest preserve land in western Lake County. With easy access to the Chain of Lakes this location will be offering boat repairs in the coming months.
All of our locations have drive-in estimating and no appointment is needed for an estimate. A lockbox is provided for after hours drop offs and our vehicle lots are gated for protection. Platinum Collision & Autobody is open during the weekdays at 7AM and closes at 6 PM. Saturday hours are from 8 AM to Noon.
